ABOUT
Kerri Ferrara’s strong personal style and original ideas are instrumental in her success with design inspiration which springs from eclecticism, adaptive reuse, retro, and a sense of humor and whimsy. Art and design have always been a part of her life and her interests have evolved and overlapped a variety of fields which inform and complement the design process.
Ferrara was born and raised in Rhode Island, and received a Bachelors of Architecture from Syracuse University in 1998. After graduating she moved to NYC to pursue interior design working with a respected firm for 8 years with a focus on showrooms and corporate interiors. Ferrara’s designs have been featured in Interior Design, NY Times, Contract Magazine, Film Journal, Elle, and an episode of Law and Order. At this time, she is a Senior Interior Designer at a well known and respected NYC firm, designing corporate interiors.
In 2003 she created an accessory line featuring eclectic handbags and deconstructed vintage ties which were inspired from patterned upholstery, industrial fittings, and mixed with the playfulness of fashion and art. Currently she is preparing a line of limited edition hand-painted vintage bags.
In a two month sabbatical to Spain she revisited her childhood passion for painting, and since then she has continued to make it a part of her daily life. Her work has been in art shows and local galleries and she has recently been exploring (and loving) the large scale format of murals in both homes and businesses.
Ferrara has created a multi-faceted brand whose designs are grounded in architectural form and spiked with a flare for fashion and art. She can design your environment, pick a stimulating paint color, transform space with a hand-painted mural, as well as design and create the fabulous outfit you should be wearing in the room! She will be happy to meet with you to discuss your colorful future.
