I needed something different…and this was it
Finding Clarity in Taiwan: A Sketchbook Journey Sparked by Change
When plans unraveled, a new path emerged—one drawn with mixed media in tiny pages of a sketchbook, and quiet moments of discovery.
After the chaos of COVID and the realization that some of the things I was chasing weren’t truly fulfilling or turned out as planned, I knew I needed something different. Traveling and making art had always been at the top of my bucket list, quietly waiting for the “right time.” When a small window of opportunity opened to work remotely, I took a leap of faith. What was only supposed to be a 3 month trip to Taiwan to visit my best friend and explore her country, turned into 3 years!
What followed was more than just a change of scenery—it became a way to process, to heal, and to reconnect with myself through artistic moments that helped me stay present, open and forever grateful.
These sketches eventually became the foundation for larger works, which culminated in a show that marked a new chapter in my creative journey.
